In the process of exploring the legacy of her father, an antique dealer in London, Aniela Dowmunt-Iwaszkiewicz, Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, found books with the label ’Ex-libris Pető András’.
Dr. Dowmunt-Iwaszkiewicz donated the whole collection, 36 books to our Mária Hári Library and Regional Resource Centre.
The books were delivered from London to Budapest by courtesy of ’csomagkuldes.co.uk’.
The donations have been highly appreciated.

Pető Success at the Arm Wrestling World Cup and Hegyvidék Fit Parade
Ákos Galyas finished third on 17 Oct 2009 at the Arm Wrestling World Cup where 180 contestants of 10 nations tested their strength. A day later, he took part in another competition called the Hegyvidék Fitt Parade and he finished fifth in weightlifting.

It is with a saddened heart that I inform you that our beloved colleague, Rita Szarvas, conductor, her son, her partner and another young boy in her charge were on board of the aircraft which vanished above the Atlantic Ocean Monday morning under still unclarified circumstances.

Call for applications to organise the 8th World Congress on Conductive Education
The 7th World Congress on Conductive Education is to take place in December 2010. Hong Kong, China. A meeting of the Executive Committee and a General Assembly of the International Pető Association will be held parallel with the Congress. Similar to previous Congresses, it is our endeavour to make the final decision regarding the organisation of the subsequent, the 8th World Congress on this occasion.
The Executive Committee of the International Pető Association is pleased to invite organisations to submit applications to host the 8th World Congress on Conductive Education. Applications should include all essential details of the applicant and of the possible partner organisation.
